Sometimes filing a bankruptcy is not the best thing for the debtor. Depending on the individual's situation, the creation of a business entity such as a Corporation, Limited Liability Company (LLC), partnership, or other organization will provide adequate protection from creditors. Only a lawyer can make the determination as to whether or not a business entity will protect a debtor.
